Flat colouring…now with MUSIC!

Finally the lineart is finished! After having Corel Painter X crash on me and having to start over with Paint Tool Sai it’s finally complete. After working with Sai for inking this sketch I can say the program is pretty comparable to Painter and not as finicky when it comes to crashing, which is a very good thing.
I always find the colouring process to be the most enjoyable part of creating digital artwork.
Inking…not so much. A little less tedious with music though. Should do some pen lineart more often!

I have to give you some suggestion — the inking process is really tedious if you ink the way you do: one good rule of thumb is to never zoom in past 100% because anything past 100% will NOT be visible anyways… so you're just slaving away on details that no one will ever see… 🙁 Save yourself some effort and frustration!
That said, YAY DISGAEA!! Keep it up~
Hey that is a good tip, I found myself zooming in on lines just because I wanted the inking to be EXACTLY ON TOP OF EVERYTHING LINE FOR LINE, which seems a little silly looking back now, as I’d end up discarding the sketch when it’s all done. Thank you :3!
