Sketchbooks and then some!

My college career officially on the 28th of August. I’m happy to say I passed the summer Chemistry course I was taking and passed nicely(Go me! Now just for the convocation ceremony!). In order to celebrate my family “forced” me to take a little shopping trip and buy whatever my heart desired. So I bought sketchbooks lots of sketchbooks!

Putting myself out there!

So I have this little dream, a dream about…well let’s say it has to do with anime and comic conventions. With that dream in mind, for the past year and a little bit I’ve been doing some research and secret cg artwork. What the artwork is for, will become clear in due time. For the curious, if you wish to see a few teaser photos of said artwork, I will direct you to my personal blog over at livejournal(be sure to respond to the introductory post and tell me a bit about yourself!). From my research I’ve learned the importance of putting one’s self out there and promoting themselves online. With that idea in mind, I’m going to try my hand at making…

So tonight I learned…

reafu on livestream.com. Broadcast Live Free

Apparently my hometown(Toronto) is called “hog town” because we used to process a lot of piggies back in the day. Perhaps this is why there are 2423423453453453 hotdog stands down town XD?

A little background music!

Found this nice plugin that allows you to play mp3 files in blog posts after reading an art blog post. So not wanting to be possibly the only blog out there that doesn’t embed music into posts, I went ahead and installed the audio player. It’s a welcome change to how things are usually done. Do you find listening to music helps when drawing or doing specific hobbies? In case you’re wondering the name of the song is Cyber Dance(a remix version) and it’s from the Disgaea2 Arranged Soundtrack.

In other news school is done and now I can finally get back into sketching, cging and revamping the look of tranquil solace!

Boredom leads to doodles!

Amazing the kind of things you can come up with while waiting to go on a lunchbreak, during a quiet morning shift. No idea where these floral designs came from, I just started making one and went to town from there, but I definitely like them! Now if only I could reproduce the effect in photoshop…I think this calls for a little experiment.
