Shading is very important *nod nod*…but so is resting your drawing hand. My knuckles are killing me!

It’s December and time for Christmas art! Let’s see how fast I can colour this…
EDIT touched up the sketch a little in photoshop and added MOAR textures. Voila!
My nearly 3 year old Acer laptop is on it’s last legs. Part of it is actually being held together with masking tape(almost tempted to take photos and show off it’s condition!). On top of that, the power cord I’ve been relying on since the battery is only good for about an hour and a half, two hours tops of standby time, has decided to fray. Now depending on how the cord is bent, sparks will actually fly while using it and the power will cut off. Now no one wants to use a potentially dangerous laptop. I know I don’t…So some promising laptops have been added to the wishlist. Just a matter of saving the money to buy one, or maybe I’ll get lucky and Santa will bring me a nice laptop that I could run photoshop on, do school work and enjoy a little gaming…
Ever since about 2003 I’ve seen all kinds of photographs of people with anime figurines. Whether it was of a gundam or some other mecha or a full scale model of the popular moĆ© character of the day, I always manged to find post-convention photos on people’s blogs or postings about new ones on sale at places like jlist. From that time on, I knew I just had to have one, but my biggest setback was usually the price. When you go though a little currency conversion from Yen to the Canadian dollar, these things could put you 100+ dollars in the hole and I’m just a humble college student! Then with anime north 2008 and fan expo 2008 I was even more determined to buy something, those adorable nendoroids and other figurines…I just knew I could give them a good home. But once again the price came and hit me upside the head. I saw an amazing Code Geass Knightmare frame at FanExpo but the vendor wanted 75 dollars for it. I guess it’s true some of these hobby shops jack up their prices during convention time…You know how they say good things come to those who wait? Well today my day came!
Since my last post didn’t seem to be recognized on the Blog Action Day site, I’m trying again!
